The Analysis Tools normally appear on the left of the main Vensim Window, although you can also configure them to appear along the top. When you click on an Analysis Tool, it will operate. This is the equivalent of turning a machine on after you have placed the material on or in the machine.
There are no keyboard equivalents for the analysis tools.
The left and right arrows 
at the bottom can be used to move to different columns of the Analysis Toolset. See the section "Modifying Toolsets" below for details on this. There are two default Analysis Toolsets that come with Vensim. The built in default is shown here and is called default1.vts. A Toolset with a more complete set of tools is available called default2.vts.Both of these toolsets have only a single column.
Some of the Analysis Tools can be locked so that they are automatically operated each time a new variable is selected into the Workbench. A locked tool will show as a depressed button. See the section "Locking Analysis Tools" below.
