In working with models, Vensim keeps track of a variety of settings to help in the analysis and understanding of models. The Control Panel and Subscript Control allow you to manage the majority of these settings. Each of these windows can be brought forward by clicking on the buttons on the Main Toolbar, or by selecting from the Windows menu. The Subscript Control is only available in Vensim Professional and DSS. This chapter:

Venapps (DSS only)
If you are working with Venapps, the Datasets tab of both the Control Panel and the Subscript Control can be used as pop-up windows. Their function is analogous to the Variable Selection Dialog, except that they have a Close button instead of an OK/Cancel button. When these are used, the settings are changed as desired and then the dialogs are closed.
