Free-Form Sketching

The Sketch Editor can be used to graphically build and modify models.  But it can also be used as a drawing tool to put up words and arrows that help structure thinking, discussion, or planning.  In many circumstances, the ability to attach equations to a sketch via the Equation Editor is not relevant.  The final product might simply be a word-and-arrow diagram, such as a Causal Loop diagram.

The Sketch Editor was designed to be flexible enough to work well for such purposes.  There is no requirement that words correspond to model variables, or even that they correspond to a particular variable type.  Using only the Word and Arrow tools you can build up any form of diagram you choose.
